Engr Ben Caven

Engr. Ben Caven is a veteran power systems engineer and one of Nigeria’s most experienced electricity industry leaders. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Geometric Power Aba Limited, the power generation arm of Geometric Power Group. In this role, he provides strategic and technical leadership for the operation and continued development of the Group’s 188-megawatt power plant in Aba. His focus is on plant performance, operational efficiency, safety and the reliable generation of electricity to support homes, businesses and industries within the Aba Ring-Fenced Area. Before joining Geometric Power, Engr. Caven had a distinguished career in Nigeria’s public electricity sector. He is the only person to have served at different times as Executive Director of Engineering, Generation and Transmission at the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria. He also played an important role in the design and development of major components of Nigeria’s national electricity infrastructure. Known for his deep technical expertise and hands-on approach to engineering, Engr. Caven brings decades of experience in power generation, transmission, system protection and control to Geometric Power. His leadership continues to strengthen the Group’s technical capacity and its commitment to delivering dependable electricity.
