History of Geometric Power
Geometric Power was incorporated in the year 2000 and has its corporate office in Abuja , the Federal Capital of Nigeria. Geometric Power was founded by Prof Bart Nnaji, a leading international scientist and engineer. He was a distinguished Professor of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts and subsequently at the University of Pittsburgh , and former Director of the US National Science Foundation Centre of Excellence in e-Design at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania , USA .
In November 2001, Geometric Power commissioned a 22 MW Emergency Power Station in Abuja guaranteeing the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) the supply of 15MW. The power plant provided uninterrupted power on a 24/7 basis till the end of the contract in March 2004 when the transmission line supplying electricity from Shiroro Dam was completed. The electricity served a dedicated distribution network within Abuja and its environs. Some Key beneficiaries of the project include the Abuja Central Business District, the International Conference Center (ICC), the Federal Secretariat and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) headquarters.

Who We Are
To date, Geometric Power has developed a 22 MW capacity power plant in Abuja , and is currently building a 188 MW in phase I of a two phase 1000MW capacity power plant in Aba , a strategic industrial city in Abia State , located in the south eastern part of Nigeria .
