GP Chairman/ CEO now Special Adviser, New Appointments at GP

Chairman
Prof. Bart Nnaji, Special Adviser to the President on Power

GP Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Bartholomew Nnaji, has been appointed as Special Adviser to the President, and Chairman, Presidential Task Force on Power (PTFP). The Special Adviser appointment is a full time job that would involve active participation in policy determination, and as Chairman PTFP, he is directly responsible for fast tracking the implementation of the much needed extensive reforms in the Power Sector.

In order to avoid conflict of interest and to devote his full attention to his new assignment he has resigned his position as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Geometric Power Limited and the project companies, GPAL and APLE.

Following his resignation, the Boards of the project companies have approved the appointments of Mr. Paul Nickson as Managing Director, APL Electric (APLE) and Engr. Ben Caven as Managing Director, Geometric Power Aba Limited (GPAL). As we all know, both have successful professional track records and strong pedigree in the power industry globally having worked at top management levels for the World Bank (IFC) and PHCN respectively. They are therefore competent and capable of leading our team to complete the Aba IPP.

VP Paul Nickson, MD APLE        CTA Ben Caven, MD GPAL

The Board of the parent Company, Geometric Power Limited has also approved the appointment of our Executive Director Agatha Nnaji as MD.

We congratulate our dear Prof Bart Nnaji, Mrs Agatha Nnaji, Mr Paul Nickson and Engr Ben Caven in their new positions.
